After many years of success in the construction and engineering industry, the company expanded, forming Condor Aviation in 2001, acquiring Birchwood Lodge in North Yorkshire, with its own 6-acre airfield and workshop facilities. At Birchwood, Condor Aviation International Ltd have the resources to provide a one-stop shop for any interesting and innovative ideas related to general aviation.
Bespoke modifications to light aircraft
Condor Aviation International Ltd is a company specifically set up to provide the skills and resources to add excitement into the GA market. This covers bespoke modifications to light aircraft, taking existing designs and improving upon them to provide increased performance, additional space, weight reductions and modernisation. We design, manufacture and test any new and radical aircraft ideas under our highly prized remit of ‘E Conditions’, awarded to us by the UK CAA.
Crete to Cape Vintage Air Rally
As part of the company’s ethos to put excitement back into General Aviation, Condor Aviation International Ltd was contracted to provide a suitable aircraft to provide cargo capacity for the ‘Crete to Cape Vintage Air Rally’ of 2016. After acquiring a luxury Antonov An-2 in Poland, the aircraft was flown to the Birchwood facilities in the UK for repainting and flight preparation. Following seven exhausting but exciting weeks, the An-2 arrived in South Africa to complete this epic journey.
