Work continues on the Europa IO! With the addition of a specifically designed air scoop, we aim to take advantage of the “Meredith Effect”. Hence the name has been changed to the very apt, C-51s; after the P51 Mustang.
With regards to the scoop, a significant amount of CFD will be conducted in order to achieve maximum cooling efficiency and aircraft performance. Although the air scoop is in the very early design stages, a concept image has been produced.
In conjunction with the C-51s, a twin seat version is also to be designed and built; the C-51t. Both aircraft will be manufactured simultaneously.
With the fuel tank removed from the first Europa, we are able to cut and shape the back rest. This modification alone provides a more comfortable seating position and significantly more headroom.
